The Schultz Organization is one of the largest independent full service commercial real estate firms in the tri state area. We are currently expanding to meet the tremendous growth in our property management, brokerage and construction business lines. To meet this demand, we are currently looking for a bright, organized, energetic and team-oriented property accountant. The ideal candidate for this position would have a combination of the following skills, experiences and requirements.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (Accounting major) with 2+ years commercial real estate accounting experience or an    Associate’s degree in accounting combined with 5+ years real estate industry experience
Knowledge of MRI, Yardi or Skyline Property Management/Accounting Systems
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Excellent communication skills

Duties will include:
Journal entries for property and corporate accounting systems
Account analyses including budget variances
Processing monthly property closings
Job cost entries and Construction billing
Special projects for property managers
NJ Sales / Use tax returns
Other daily accounting functions as directed

JUNIOR PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT
CAREER OPPORTUNITY

To meet this demand, we are currently looking for a bright, organized, energetic and team-oriented property accountant. The ideal candidate for this position would have a combination of the following skills, experiences and requirements.

Requirements:
Associate’s degree (Accounting major) with 1+ year commercial real estate accounting experience or 3+ years bookkeeping experience in the commercial real estate industry
Knowledge of MRI, Yardi or Skyline Property Management/Accounting systems a plus
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Excellent organization and file maintenance skills

Duties will include:
All accounts payable functions for assigned commercial property portfolios
All tenant billing functions including mailing monthly rent and utility bills
Process property funding requests and wire transfers
Preparation of bank statement reconciliation reports
Maintain utility expense analyses
Special projects for property managers
Assist in preparation / assembly of monthly property reports
Maintain property files for assigned portfolios
Other daily accounting functions as directed
